severe heart-rhythm disturbances (cardiac arrhytmias); peri-operative hypertension
Sports Information
If taken in excessive amounts this product may cause you to test positive for banned substances.
Explanation
Brevibloc contains a beta blocker and is banned in control sports; an individual requiring this injection would be too ill to play sport!

This medicine is only used in the acute hospital setting in patients with severe heart rhythm abnormalities The combination of a fall in blood pressure and/or changes in heart rhythm combined with competitive sport in ahtletes not otherwise requiring this medicine may be seriously detrimental to health
